Quintin Beer

I'm a choral director and conductor, and Director of Music at St Peter's College, Oxford, where I lead the chapel choir and teach choral conducting for the university's Faculty of Music. I'm also Musical Director of Saffron Walden Choral Society, and conduct and chorus-master on a freelance basis, including at the St Endellion Festival.

I studied Music at Cambridge as a choral scholar at St John's, and Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with an MA with Distinction. My own singing remains important to me, and I maintain a freelance career as a baritone alongside my conducting work.

For weddings and funerals, I bring together experienced singers, conductors, and organists to create music suited to the occasion — whether that's a small, intimate service or something on a grander scale.

Choirs

Every choir I put together is drawn from a pool of highly trained singers, most of whom have studied to conservatoire level and maintain active professional careers as freelance musicians. To the right is a small sample of the music I can offer.
